Joseph G. Smith, II
| Born to two of the greatest parents God has ever produced, Joseph Glenn Smith, II is a man born in New Orleans, Louisiana yet is firmly a Nebraskan, after moving to the state with family in 1989 seeking greater opportunities. It was in Nebraska; Joseph developed and cultivated a love of information, debate, personal motivation, fitness, goal attainment and global progress for human kind. The speaker, author and social activist is a graduate of Wayne State College with B.S. degree in journalism. Today he uses his fiery voice and commanding stage presence to advance the cause of education, human rights and political empowerment for all the worlds’ people. The Speaker, Author and Educator is also the author of the inspirational book The Crossover: Making your biggest dreams your greatest reality and co-author of Ready Set Succeed: Making your dream come true; a literary pieces sharing with the readers the good news that all of their dreams are important, necessary and possible. He is heavily engaged in the positive development of the community and is working in partnership with a plethora organizations leading Omaha, Nebraska’s first humanitarian delegation to Mali, West Africa for an Ambassador Trek, where for two weeks our Omaha Dream Team will build a school in a remote village of the country which currently has none. This will provide the rare and unique opportunity to Omaha youth to take part in an international cultural exchange where they will gain a better understanding of their connection with people on the other side of the world. In addition, he is also a founding partner of the Black American Coalition Political Action Committee, a progressive organization working to advance the issues and causes and quality of life of all people within the Black Diaspora. He is also founder and operator of OMAHASFINEST.COM a new blog chronicling the journey from Omaha to Mali and experiences of each person taking part in this mission for good. Morghan Price
![]() | Morghan Price is the Public Relations officer for the community development and anti-violence organization Enough is Enough, E.I.E. She is a dedicated supporter of Omaha Healthily Kids where she regularly assists community members acquire the medical services and testing needed to ensure healthier bodies and healthier families in the city. Morghan is also a member of the World Fellowship Christian Center Business Ministry as well as the African-American Empowerment Networks Emerging Leaders organizations and is in the process of planning new events. She is also the proud mother of two, one of whom is himself a member of our Dream Team Mr. Zion Price. |
Robin Quarles
![]() | For the past decade Robin has been a fierce political advocate of a plethora of noteworthy causes and is one of our community’s greatest fighters for positive change. In her years of activism, Robin Quarles was elected to the Nebraska Young Democrats vice Presidency in 2004 and served as Chair of the Nebraska Democratic Party Black Caucus from 2006-2010. She is also a founding partner of the Black American Coalition Political Action Committee, a progressive organization working to advance the issues and causes and quality of life of all people within the Black Diaspora. Robin has also served as the Vice President for the State Federation of College Democrats. and has represented Nebraska on various committees within the Young Democrats of America . As a mother of three, Robin also believes in training new young leaders for the future having served since 2004 as the Nebraska State Advisor for Kids for Democracy, a democratic youth group for young people ages 8-13. Additionally, in 2006, Robin helped draft bylaws for the NDP’s Black Caucus drawing from her experience in YDA’s Minority Caucus. “I’m convinced that our world can be a more loving and equitable place. That the circumstances a person is born with or born into must not remain their burden to bear for the remainder of that person’s life. Indeed positive changes can be made if each person is courageous enough to act upon what already is their human obligation to advance our race; the Human Race. I for one will do all I can and exert all of my energy to the cause of global life improvement as the blessings bestowed to me are only the result of the hard work and many sacrifices of generations past”. |
Chrystal Lee
![]() | Wichita, Kansas native Chrystal Lee came to Nebraska to attend Wayne State College in Nebraska in 2001 where she graduated with her Bachelors of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences concentrating in Architectural Design with minors in Spanish and Art. Currently residing in Omaha, she is a recipient of her Masters in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix where she prepared tirelessly for her role in the community as a professor, leader and mentor. Shaping young minds in the ways of marketing at Kaplan University is one of her greatest passions as she regularly learns from her students as they learn from her. Her current plans include obtaining her Doctorate in Marketing and penning a book on marketing in the new millennium as a young entrepreneur. Making history in her family and in her adopted community she daily plants seeds of success that is consistently germinating within the minds of our future leaders. “I take pride in the work that I do, reaching out to others, and advancing social progress. I am committed to succeeding, giving my best and expecting the best in others. I believe in taking action to make a difference, leading by example and encouraging life long learning.” |

DeZyre Sullivan
![]() | DeZyre is an inquisitive and vibrant fourth grade student at Crestridge School of International Global Studies. DeZyre is very actively involved in many different activities. She really enjoys reading, cheerleading and playing the violin. DeZyre’s love of helping others has been fostered from an early age with emphasis placed on the importance of giving back to the community. For the past few months, DeZyre has been exploring her potential career interest, although she is still not sure she thinks it would be cool to be a nurse or a cake decorator. She looks forward to going to Mali to help others and making new friends in the process. |

Roni Davis
| Roni Davis is a self-proclaimed beauty genius gifted and talented to transform everyday people to extraordinary, exquisite and confident individuals. Roni Davis formula for success is “beauty therapy”, the combination of physical transformations and self-help life coaching techniques. Roni’s passion to transform people lives flourished at an early age. At 16 years of age she was awarded “Miss Talent 1999”, by creating a full fashion show that consist of hairstyling, cosmetic services and wardrobe styling, as a contestant in the Jabberwok Scholarship Pageant. After graduating from high school she enrolled in Capital Cosmetology and Esthetics in Omaha Ne, and graduated as a licensed cosmetologist. After graduation Roni quickly embraced the salon atmosphere in Omaha. She was employed by 2 reputable salons that enhanced her hairstyling techniques and introduced her to many other creative aspects of beauty like cosmetics, hair and eyelash extensions. She also has been a stylist for Pageants, models, entertainers, American Idol, wedding parties, fashion shows and a variety of many other special events. Community Advocacy plays an important role in Roni’s understanding of the needs of everyday people. For five 5 remarkable years Roni was the founder and President of her own non- profit organization that gave her a hands-on experience and insight of the real issues and problems people are facing in today’s economy. Roni Davis discomfort with physical transformations inspired her to seek a more in-dept understanding of helping people feel and look beautiful from the inside-out, which led to her to pursue her degree in psychology. She is currently a Certified Coach Practitioner, and by obtaining her certification it has provided her with more fundamental tools to better serve her clients emotional and internals needs. Roni is very passionate to make people feel and think positive about themselves by giving client’s inspirational exercises and encouragement infused self-esteem building and goal orientated counseling involving health, career and personal goals. Her objective as a beauty therapist is to assist her clients with a soundboard that allows them to express themselves in the purest state and provide them with proper resources and guidance to overcome any issues they face currently, and preventive methods for future obstacles. Roni Davis has a purposeful life full of meaning and joy that she uses to inspire others to maximize their true potential. |
